{"id":49260,"date":"2025-02-10T17:29:05","date_gmt":"2025-02-10T16:29:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/?p=49260"},"modified":"2025-05-27T17:38:48","modified_gmt":"2025-05-27T15:38:48","slug":"the-catalan-audiovisual-cluster-consolidates-its-position-as-a-key-player-at-ise-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/en\/the-catalan-audiovisual-cluster-consolidates-its-position-as-a-key-player-at-ise-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"The Catalan Audiovisual Cluster consolidates its position as a key player at ISE 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2025 edition of the ISE Fair took place from February 4th to 7th and closed with a record <strong>85,350 visitors<\/strong> from 168 countries, a 15.5% increase compared to the previous edition.<\/p>\n<p>Since the fair&#8217;s move to Catalonia was announced in 2019, the Catalan Audiovisual Cluster has acted as a bridge between the fair and the Catalan industry, creating opportunities to promote the visibility of member companies and the internationalization of the sector. Barcelona and Catalonia are positioning themselves internationally in the field of audiovisual technology thanks to the incorporation of new technologies into the solutions of Catalan companies.<\/p>\n<p>For another year, the Catalan Audiovisual Cluster acted as an identifying agent for the most innovative trends in the areas of <strong>Artificial Intelligence<\/strong>, <strong>Virtual LED Production<\/strong>, <strong>Immersive Experiences<\/strong>, <strong>Drones-Robotics<\/strong>, <strong>Retail<\/strong>, and <strong>New Talent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It represented the Catalan industry with <strong>25 member companies<\/strong> present at the fair, organized and participated in <strong>27 activities and conferences<\/strong>, bringing 56 speakers, and collaborated in organizing the ISE Tech Tours and promoting the ISE Open Innovation Challenge.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One of the keynote addresses of this edition was the presentation &#8220;<strong>David Monguet: Major Film Productions with Virtual LED Screen Production<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>David Monguet, a leader in virtual LED production in Spain and founder and supervisor of <strong>MO&amp;MO Film Services<\/strong>, was invited to talk about his experience working with this technology on major productions. The session focused on reviewing some examples of his work, such as scenes from J.A. Bayona&#8217;s <em>The Snow Society<\/em>, where he showed images of how the crashed plane in the middle of the Andes was filmed from a soundstage; or the series <em>Unwanted<\/em>, about which he explained that &#8220;they set up the largest LED screen they&#8217;ve ever had on a set, measuring 70 x 6 meters.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-47506 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/ISE2025_Noticia_4-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"911\" height=\"513\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/ISE2025_Noticia_4-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/ISE2025_Noticia_4-1030x579.jpg 1030w, https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/ISE2025_Noticia_4-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/ISE2025_Noticia_4-705x397.jpg 705w, https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/ISE2025_Noticia_4.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 911px) 100vw, 911px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Other highly relevant sessions were the three that dealt with <strong>Artificial Intelligence<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The first, &#8220;<strong>How to make audiovisual content with AI?<\/strong>&#8221; featured <strong>Bernat Aragon\u00e8s<\/strong> (Antaviana Films), <strong>Ivan Garriga<\/strong> (Pijama Studio), and was moderated by journalist <strong>Montserrat Rigall<\/strong> (RTVE). The session showcased audiovisual creation tools using AI, based on the experience of these experts, and reflected on the state of this technology from a more creative perspective. Bernat Aragon\u00e8s explained that &#8220;there are many AI-based tools that are creative and useful, but humans remain at the center.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>The second, &#8220;<strong>Animation and 3D Modeling with AI<\/strong>,&#8221; featured <strong>Felix Balbas<\/strong> (Minimo VFX) and <strong>Florenci Magi\u00f1\u00e0<\/strong> (FX Animation Film School), moderated by <strong>Francisco Asensi<\/strong> (DeAPlaneta). The session focused on the experience of visual artists who have used AI tools to experiment and break new ground while reducing the time required for certain processes. &#8220;As a creative, what I want is to spend less time on repetitive work,&#8221; said Florenci Magri\u00f1\u00e0.<\/li>\n<li>The third was a presentation by <strong>Joan Ros\u00e9s<\/strong>, editor of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/observatori-switch\/\"><b>Switch Observatory<\/b><\/a>, which continued the series of presentations organized by the Cluster, stemming from this project that observes and identifies audiovisual trends. Titled &#8220;<strong>Switch &#8211; 10 cases that show trends in the use of AI in the audiovisual industry<\/strong>,&#8221; the session focused on examples of productions using AI, such as the film <em>The Brutalist<\/em>, the latest AI-powered commercials (Vodafone, Land Rover, and Audi), animated feature films such as <em>Where the Robots Grow<\/em>, and real-time animation such as <em>The Simpsons<\/em> and <em>Minion Gore.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-47509 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/ISE2025_Noticia_1-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"967\" height=\"545\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/ISE2025_Noticia_1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/ISE2025_Noticia_1-1030x579.jpg 1030w, https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/ISE2025_Noticia_1-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/ISE2025_Noticia_1-705x397.jpg 705w, https:\/\/www.clusteraudiovisual.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/ISE2025_Noticia_1.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 967px) 100vw, 967px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Other conferences organized by the Audiovisual Cluster at the fair&#8217;s main venues included &#8220;<strong>Immersive Experiences: Transforming the Museum Model<\/strong>&#8221; with <strong>Marc Colomines<\/strong> (blit.studio), <strong>Jos\u00e9 Vaali\u00f1a<\/strong> (Eyesberg), and <strong>Enrique Vives<\/strong> (The White Rabbit &#8211; The Off Museum); and the session &#8220;<strong>The Future of Audiovisual Applications in Retail<\/strong>&#8221; with <strong>Aleix Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> (Onionlab) and <strong>Carles Giner<\/strong> (Newtonlab Space).<\/p>\n<p>As a new feature of this edition, the Cluster, together with<strong> LANG Iberia<\/strong>, organized the <strong>Catalonia Drone Show<\/strong>, a drone show that took place on the fair&#8217;s Drone Arena stage. Partner companies <strong>Airmedia360<\/strong> and <strong>Flock Drone Art<\/strong> participated, and spectators were able to enjoy a drone light show. This was accompanied by the session &#8220;<strong>It&#8217;s all about drones<\/strong>,&#8221; which took place later on the stage of the Cluster and Barcelona City Council stand, where the companies organizing the show spoke about their projects.<\/p>\n<p>With a jury composed of <strong>Ant\u00f2nia Folguera<\/strong> (S\u00f3nar+D), <strong>Maria Gibert<\/strong> (CCCB) and <strong>Ramon Morera<\/strong> (Produktia), this year&#8217;s Audiovisual Cluster organized the session &#8220;<strong>Young Talents and Technology<\/strong>&#8220;, a pitch featuring five audiovisual technology projects from the University-Industry Pitching 2024. This time, the presentations included <strong><em>Eclipse <\/em><\/strong>by Lara Fusalba; <b><i>Els cignes salvatges<\/i><\/b> by Laia Tarrag\u00f3; <em><strong>Espectres<\/strong> <\/em>by Claudia Peguera; .<b><i>txt<\/i><\/b> by Xavier Herrera; and <b><i>INSTINT(O): fuera dentro, dentro fuera<\/i><\/b> by Paula Mart\u00edn Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>As in previous editions, the Audiovisual Cluster prepared <strong>two guided tours<\/strong> that led attendees to visit some of the main stands of member companies. The talks were moderated by journalist <strong>Mariola Dinar\u00e8s<\/strong> and featured several guests: <strong>Ana Oliveras<\/strong>, who spoke about the Alfa5 project; <strong>Xavi Trib\u00f3<\/strong> (Melt), <strong>Ant\u00f2nia Folguera<\/strong> (S\u00f3nar+D), and <strong>Francesc Mas<\/strong> (3Cat), who explained the <em>Flors de Veu<\/em> experience; and <strong>Aleix Fernandez<\/strong> (Onionlab), <strong>Jorge Escobar<\/strong> (Framemov), and <strong>Ramon Morera<\/strong> (Produktia), who spoke about their projects.<\/p>\n<p>The Audiovisual Cluster was also present, with President <strong>Miquel Rutllant<\/strong> as a speaker, at several sessions organized by ISE throughout the week. It participated in the <strong>Matchmaking Breakfast between Catalan and Flemish companies<\/strong> organized in collaboration with ACCI\u00d3. It also participated in the <strong>AVIXA Women&#8217;s Council<\/strong> meeting with the participation of various partner companies.
