Talent Week reduces its carbon footprint

The 11th edition of the most important talent project organized by the Catalan Audiovisual Cluster closed its doors on November 28th with a smaller environmental impact than in previous years.

In terms of data, this translates to a reduction of more than 4 percentage points in the event’s carbon footprint compared to the 2024 edition.

The cumulative reduction since the 2023 edition is more than 9 percentage points, a 54.7% decrease, meaning that in just two editions the carbon footprint has been reduced by more than half.

To achieve this improvement, a series of measures have been implemented, such as selecting venues with aligned sustainability policies to host events, minimizing paper consumption, reducing air travel for participants and prioritizing train travel, using public transport as much as possible instead of taxis, and choosing suppliers focused on sustainability, such as the catering service, a socially responsible company that has incorporated plastic reduction practices and is committed to using ecologic products.

The Cluster is committed to continuing this non-negotiable policy in favor of the event’s sustainability and has set a goal of further reducing the number of paper consumption figures by the 2026 edition.
