Each short film portrays raw and surreal experiences—ranging from anxiety and toxic love to identity and self-image—through unique visual styles and immersive sound design. It reveals the hidden side of growing up: the madness, beauty, and vulnerability of being human.

Dabruneba (2025) is a feature-length documentary that premiered worldwide at DocsBarcelona 2025, collectively created by four filmmakers from Barcelona.

The film follows Sofiko (25), who returns to Georgia, the country she left at age seven, tracing the migratory journey that brought her to Barcelona. Alongside Mar, a filmmaker and childhood friend, she reconnects with the people and places that shaped her story. As the journey unfolds, it takes on new meanings: Sofiko reflects on where her true home lies.

Dies d’estiu i de pluja is a fiction feature film directed and written by the collective Espurnes, composed of Mireia Labazuy, Àlex Serra, Clàudia Vila, Eva Picazo, Carla Sánchez, and Miquel Roig. The project is supported by the production companies The New Flesh and Goroka.

The film is an intimate exploration of friendship, identity, and the vulnerabilities of youth. It portrays how the passage of time and life’s challenges can transform bonds that once seemed unbreakable, leaving in their wake a mix of love, nostalgia, and the desire to reconnect.

Zongguang and Bolan, grandparents who spent two decades in Barcelona caring for their grandchildren, now return to their hometown of Fangshan in China. Through the eyes of their granddaughter, Vestigio explores the emotional weight of migration and its echoes within family bonds: spaces filled with memories, silences, and the emptiness left by absence. They face an uncertain future while reflecting on belonging, roots, and the fate of a place transformed by the void left by younger generations who have moved abroad.
